What is PDO Derma Threads?

PDO Honey Derma Threads are used for ‘non-surgical’ face and neck lifts, as well as facial rejuvenation and wrinkle reducing treatments.

This minimally invasive procedure uses dissolvable PDO, a material used in medicine for many years, mainly in heart surgery.

​

 

PDO threads relax muscles and tendons while stimulating the production of new collagen in the skin. They also stimulate the production of elastin and hyaluronic acid, vital for creating a youthful looking skin.

​

 

Effective in facial lifting and wrinkle removal through self-stimulation of cells. There should be minimal interruption in daily life and the threads will be fully absorbed in the body within 6 months. The product is biodegradable and biocompatible and the effects of treatment should last approximately 18-24 months.

Proceedure

 

The procedure will follow a consultation to discuss a plan of treatment. Topical anaesthetic will be applied to the facial area prior to the treatment commencing. Treatment will take around 30-60 minutes depending on area to be treated. Results will start to be seen within 4-6 weeks. Slight pain and bruising may be experienced depending on skin type.
